The joiner had fitted the roof window and left the reveal as bare timber and studwork. Our job was to board it, bead the arrises so the corners stay sharp and skim the whole reveal, including the sloping soffit, in one clean finish.
Sloping reveals are awkward because gravity is not on your side. The result is a smooth, even surface that throws the daylight down the wall onto the basin exactly as the homeowner wanted.
